Currently I have broadband, phone and a TV package on a contract which runs to next April. The TV element in particular includes a significant discount.
I have now received an offer to renew my broadband at the current price, which I would be quite happy to do but was wondering where that would leave my TV package with its discount. Will that become a separate contract still running to next April or would that re-start so that I would lose my discount for four months or so?
If you only renew the broadband, your TV deal would remain unchanged and still on your existing deal/terms.
However, this would leave you with little wriggle room to negotiate on renewal as you'll be inside a new minimum term for the broadband, it's always best to renew both at the same time.
Weigh up the pro's and con's of your current deal, decide what's best for you and your budget.
@northshields If you re-contract now you will still get the price increase in April.
