End of contract options / leaving

Hello,

My Full Fibre 500 contract ends on the 22nd November.

I am looking to give 1 months notice from next week as it's unlikely retentions will be able to offer me any deals to reduce the monthly costs on my package. I am paying £49pm for BT and can see from other openreach providers I can get near or similar speeds for £10-15 less than what I'm currently paying.

Any other options anyone can think of?

You don't give BT notice unless moving to a non-Openreach based supplier. You just place an order with a new supplier around 14 days before your contract ends.

No idea what "other options" you're referring to?

If your intention is to move to an Alternative Network ( so not Openreach ) you need to give a months notice , so around 22nd October , but a word of caution m if you do this then pick a provider that will use Openreach, there will be a delay ( a break in service ) before your service restarts with the new ISP , as stated if you are going to use an ISP and it isn’t over an Alternative Network , then you contact the new ISP and they serve your notice to BT themselves
As far as options , why do you think BT retention won’t be able to offer anything ?
