Help for vulnerable single mother

I’m posting in behalf of my daughter

she’s ran up a debt with BT due to mental health issues, she has recently left a domestic violence relationship, she’s out of a job, a single mother, and has a extremely autistic daughter

she is in the middle of setting up a DRO as she has loads of debt from her ex partner, she is trying very hard to get back on her feet take care of herself and her daughter! She did originally have a payment plan with BT she has been unable to keep up with the payments, she is not in a contract  with them due to it running out and being the same price off the contract as being on the contract

she is very worried that her internet is going to get cut off which would cause extreme difficulties for her daughter, she relies on the internet to use her communication tech as well as her iPad to regulate she is also in breathing space currently for about her 5 weeks

does anyone have any advice? I’m unable to help anymore then I am already due to my own financial commitments and work.

@Melwar92

This is just a customer to customer help forum, everyone here, including myself, are just customers.

The only BT Employees are the forum moderators.

I appreciate that and I do understand that, which is why I asked for advice to see if any other customers have had any experiences along the same lines

Re: Help for vulnerable single mother

I don't have any advice, but I do know of a scheme called breathing space that might be able to help her out with payments and debts:

And if she is on mental health crisis then the period can be for much longer.

What is Breathing Space and How to Apply. StepChange.
