Good Afternoon,
I have a query about BT's PayPoint service, currently up until this month, i have paid my BT bill thorough using a PayPoint card, however, my card stopped working last month, it will no longer scan, however, it still works when the shop assistant puts the account number manually and it has showed up as being paid on this months bill (September)
When i found the card was no longer scanning, i phoned up BT in August, and they said they would send another one out in 10 working days, i never recived it, rang up again 2 weeks later and the call agent said he was confused as to why we never recived it, and put another order through, however i still have not recived it, and rang for a third time this week to be told the service was discontinued in April?
Is this service still avaiaible? as it worked beyond April and now September.
Additionally, every monthly bill between April and this month, September, under the "ways to pay" section on the bill, it still states "Cash: Pay at any PayPoint outlet with a card or payment slip. Keep the receipt for your records."
I also have a quesiton about the Giro Bank Slip payment, which seems to have disapeered since the bills in May 2023, has this option also stopped?
Kind Regards

Hi, @Hillside49 welcome to the community and thanks for posting, has your line been changed over to digital voice?
Thanks
Neil
Hello,
Yes, my service was switched over to Digital Voice this April, and when we swapped over, the call agent said we could still use the paypoint service.
As i said, the card has been working up until August in terms of scanning, but it still worked manually this month, as the shop assistant typed the account number, and it shows as being paid on this months bill, i paid it 11 days ago.
Kind Regards.
Hi, @Hillside49 thanks for getting back to me. That is correct you could continue to use a card that was previously issued. It sounds like your card has developed a fault and I'm sorry a replacement can't be sent as digital voice customers are not eligible for payment cards. Payment cards are designed for customers with a fixed landline only, as they may not have access or the ability to pay online.
BT's preferred payment method is direct debit, alternatively, you can also pay online at MyBT
Thanks
Neil
Thank you for your help,
Would i be right in thinking that i can still use the card manually (the store worker typing the account number in) as this still works, until the card stops working all together?
Kind Regards
