I have an identical situation. I haven't been with BT for nearly 10 years. My BT account was reactivated in my Credit Report in May of this year. I spoke to BT on the phone and they say there is no activity on my old account, yet the credit report shows a payment made in May? The BT guy was very helpful but doesn't know what's happening? He said dozens of people have reported the same issue of the last couple of months.

Have you raised a case with your Equifax or Experian? They then contact our Credit Referral team who will investigate this fully.
