Amazing just shows what deals they can pull out when it comes down to it. I’m currently looking at switching to ee but it’s linking back to bt, and the button to check ee deals is coming up with a problem at their end so will try again later - but they also have much better deals.

Even having received that offer, actually getting it was an ordeal!  However, if you want a real shocker, search for and download the BT Consumer Price Guide.  Make sure you are seated when reading it!

EE do indeed seem to have better deals but, as an existing BT customer, you're unlikely to be offered them, because BT class you as an existing customer when you try to take up an EE deal, and EE only offers the better deals to new customers.
BT always proclaims that it and EE are "completely separate companies" within the BT group but that only seems to apply when it suits them to do so!

Yes I did suspect this but when searching online I’d seen that switching from bt to ee your treated as a new customer as you make a new account with ee and migrate over. Not sure how accurate that is, I’d need to speak to someone there first I suppose.
