I never knew that and my FTTC contract is up in the next 7 or 8 days. So may hold off thinking about trying to get a deal with BT till 1st March but I have also been looking elsewhere and have been looking at Sky for FTTC.
I renewed on March 2 with the order completing today but contract start/end dates not changed. Called BT & was told that due to 14day cooling off period nothing will change until that 14 days is up. Not sure that's true but will wait and see.
Hi @TimCurtis
I also renew on Thursday 2nd March, but it completed fully on 3rd March (all green lights). My contract dates changed immediately. Yours definitely looks a bit strange.

It's correct, the system will show any early termination charges and end dates as your original renewal, then on day 15 when the new renewal cooling off period ends, it will update to reflect the new dates.
I renewed and MyBT has been fully updated to reflect the new contract which ends 5 March 2025.
Mine's tied in with a switchover to DV which only happened late morning today so maybe that's a factor for me.
Well no change for me so I must have done something wrong as others have clearly been successful.
I'll try a complaint & see if that gets me anywhere.
Hi @TimCurtis If the £0 recontact is still available on your offers page then I would take it. All we have is one throwaway remark that recontacting on the phone after the 1st March will avoid the price increase. I personally will believe it when I see it.
I tried that again last night to no avail unfortunately. Writing my complaint at this moment.
Just had a call about my complaint and it was explained to me that this renewal trick will only work if you're out of contract or within the re-contract period which is something like 4-6 months before your contract end date, which I wasn't.
