Renewing contract

Trying to renew a new BT contract is an absolute farce  and as clear as mud!

I now have no landline !! I am 78 need to take Insulin and have had more hypos trying to negotiate how to get my landline sorted?!!

I am now the owner of an I pad which I didn't need or particularly want plus 2 accounts one for BT and one for EE

I don't want this all I want is Landline working and Broadband.

Surely that isn't toomuch toask for?!!

Sorry for the reant but have been with been with BT for 53 years and never had to complain.

To say I am disgusted is putting it mildly!

Re: Renewing contract

@Juneau15

What was the package you were moved to?

As part of the new package you have probably also moved to Digital Voice if you stated you wanted to keep the home phone service. If you have moved to Digital Voice you can try plugging your home phone into the phone port on the back of the smart hub 2 if you have that router already supplied to you.

Package was Landline and Broadband.

As an afterthought offered Ipad free?

I made it clear I did not want mobile phone contract as I have a perfectly good one?

Now I have an EE account with a mobile phone no.( not activated ) and  IPad supposedly free?

Re: Renewing contract

Do you have the itemised summary of what is included in your package with the product names and tiers?

Also do you know if you have been moved to EE? (as BT customer are being offered EE packages for broadband and phone services when calling to renew as BT are trying to make EE their main consumer brand ... More about that here https://www.bt.com/ee )

Re: Renewing contract

I'd get onto EE on the mobile side too, I highly suspect the tablet will have it's own monthly charge & will have been bundled into an overall price so can be quoted as "free" compared to what you were paying previously

Re: When is support going to be better ?

Well a bit of success today  .

On renewing my contract I was offered free IPhone but wasn't told it would  be a new EE.account  and it would cost me £30 per month?  ( So much for free!!)

I phoned EE today and spoke to a charming helpful young man who when he looked at what I had been given for Free! My account was cancelled and they are sending s bag for me to post Ipad back?

What s relief.

I thank that gentleman very much.
