Silver address

Hi

I’m moving into a ‘silver’ address and am struggling to find a provider who will contact ‘Open Reach’ to come in and connect to the outlet that is already there, in order to set up Broadband. Please help,

Maya

Re: Silver address

I'm not clear what a "silver" address is. Can you explain?

Re: Silver address

Gold:
These are addresses for premises that have, or have had, a phone line installed. Openreach maintains network records for these addresses, indicating the available line plant and any existing line connections.
Silver:
These are addresses copied from Royal Mail's database and represent premises that may not have had a phone line installed. These could be new builds or premises where a phone line hasn't been installed yet.
Bronze:
This term is not used by BT in the same way as Gold and Silver for address classification. It is used in other contexts, such as data management (raw data) or incident response (operational)

As the OP is pretty vague about who they want to use , I suspect it’s not BT , but they assume BT are responsible for sorting out addresses with Openreach even if BT won’t be providing service , if BT are not the provider they want to use , then it’s somewhat pointless them posting here .
