How can I cancel the broadband side of my Fathers BT services as he can no longer use the internet. I have been told I must have an LPA which I have applied for but has been delayed for months. His contract is now out and BT seem happy to carry on taking money from an 82 year old seriously ill man indefinatley. I signed on as account manager a while ago under the impression I would actually be able to manage the account but all it seems to be useful for is authorising product upgrades. If they phone line wasnt needed I would just cancel the DD and tell them to sing for the money.
You cannot just cancel the broadband as the package is broadband and phone so any cancellation will also end phone. New connections are using digital voice which requires broadband which is obviously a problem
I have asked forum mods who are BT employees to see if they can help you achieve what you want. They will post here
