contract ends june, does BT stay conected if i continue paying each month after contract expired

Hi, new so not sure if in right place, not techy so will explain best i can,My contract ends June 2025, i am looking to sell my house from July onwards, and temporarly moving into rented accommodation for 6 to 8 months , till i re locate to Scotland , I dont want know if i will still be able to have BT or if rented accomodation will allow BT, when my contract ends,

Question 1 initially until i know whether BT could be connected can i just continue paying monthly out of contract till i sell/move then notify BT without any cancellation fee? I saw BT can connect ADSL? if a copper line but only 17.5 mb connection , this would be no use,

Question 2 alternatively as an option would i be able to get a decent connection with the  EE mobile hub that is provided in addition my broadband or does this need the broadband to work

thanks for any help

Q1) Yes, but you will lose any discounts you had under contract and go back to full price.

Seems fairly simple as you are soon to be out of ‘contract’ next month , once you are outside the minimum term you could simply serve notice to quit , 30 days notice is  required that you pay for , you could give this notice as soon as you are outside of the minimum term , you could  even make the 30 days notice to also be the last month of the minimum term, if that suits you, but obviously that may before you actually leave the address leaving you with no landline type service.

Its pointless renewing FTTC to ADSL as you will then be inside a minimum term with your ADSL service, if you don’t renew your existing FTTC service continues on an outside minimum term basis until you do something, that’s either quit or renew ….if you don’t renew, you won’t have  any contractual obligation .

you can quit penalty free (but with 30 days notice ) whenever you want , but as stated the out of contract price will probably be more than you pay now and more than if you were to renew but it  gives you  flexibility to quit whenever it suits you without any further penalty
