VPN messages from Norton

Hi,  Be aware that I’m not  technical. I have recently received a new BT hub which I installed, changing passwords on all my devices PC, IPad, Alexas etc.  The new hub was to help sort out  a low speed problem.  Since then, my Norton has been sending me yellow banners saying VPN has secured your network because BT Hub ***** has been compromised. Apart from being irritating, it is starting to concern me. Any suggestions please? Perhaps it is just one of those Norton quirks that is supposed to make me feel protected. I don’t really want to start a debate on the benefits and disadvantages of Norton.  I have just re subscribed a couple of weeks ago. I’ve used Norton for years. I was getting the pop up banners a short time before resubscribing. Thanks in advance.

Re: VPN messages from Norton

It might be better to ask on a Norton forum what it is that would trigger such a warning, once that is known we might be able to assist but I doubt if it is an actual problem with the hub.

Hi. Thank you for your response.  I didn’t realise that there was such a thing and I think you are right. It makes sense.  I hoped that someone would say that they received them too and it was nothing to worry about.  Thanks again.
