I've just done this, said a code would be with me within 7 working days. They said they've had to change the way the activation works because people have been setting up BT accounts to steal people's Gamepass? Can't imagine how that works to be honest.
They then told me I can get my phone cheaper so put me through to EE who transferred my mobile and broadband over and assured me I'll still get Gamepass.
Hopefully everything works out properly and I won't regret it. Bit more hassle than I expected when I got the text and email this morning.
And on the 7th day..... there was an email with an xbox code 🙂
7 days after speaking with customer service I have received my code and successfully set up my xbox game pass - not quite as easy as it should have been but got there in the end.

Funny how many people get their codes on the last day 🤣
I'm getting the same issue now - received my email yesterday and now getting a message saying the system is down and to call faults? Can someone have a look at this for me too?

Have you spoken with our customer care team over the phone yet? They can raise a webform to get the Xbox Game Pass arranged for you, which can take up to 7 working days.

This is still down for maintenance as I have tried this morning. What do I do now? I have the email saying 14 days and have 2 days to claim it ! Problem after problem claiming these rewards from bt. Seems so dodgy!
100%. I’m having the exact same problem trying to claim my 12 month ultimate pass. Over this week I’ve spent over 5 hours total on hold trying to speak to some body, I had to leave my phone on charge whilst on speaker waiting for someone to answer on the tech line, which nobody did.
as there does t seem to be an appropriate system in place to claim these passes, I’m calling it as a way to not honour the offer as you simply can’t get one?
