Amazon Prime cannot be watched through the TV/BT box. All other apps work fine including BTTV, Netflix Apple and Disney etc and BT Fubre so no issue with wifi speed etc. Amazon Prime app slow to load and operate then if try to watch video will either play for a minute or two before returning to main menu or is just sticking at the spinning wheel and then cutting out again. Says software up to date. Any ideas?

Amazon Prime is at the outer limits of what early YouView boxes can handle.
Which model are we talking about here?
If theres an issue with Prime on YouView boxes, it's a bug that amazon will need to sort out via YouView.
There's no Disney plus app so presuming you meant Discovery plus.
@Weerab1983 The OP said "Disney etc" not "Disney plus".
There is no Disney on EE youview boxes, same thing
Hi Sorry I am not sure what type of BT box it is. I've attached a couple of images if that help? It is a seperate apple tv box with Disney Plus in it that is also plugged in to tv. Just mentioning that to emphasise that it and all other apps on BT box like Netflix work instantly as you would expect. It is only Prime Video that has any issues.
Many thanks
That’s a DTR-T2100, the oldest and slowest BT YouView box, which will give the slowest and least satisfactory performance on the single most demanding app running on YouView boxes.
Can you run Amazon Prime from the Apple TV, like you do Disney?
Several of the apps currently on that generation of Youview box will be limited by the box own hardware and build so if the app runs acceptably then great but if you experience performance drop-off or need to have the full range of features for some of the apps you really are better off using the app on a different device or platform. If you are a BT broadband customer with a current EE TV subscription then you can contact them wrt a replacement (later) model box. They should be able to advise you of all of the options both with your current EE TV term and any offers for taking out a new contract which might be with either BT or EE broadband. Be prepared for them promoting the new EE option but there should be a range of options available.
Your existing (pre 2019) box should be yours to keep if you so wish.
Thanks for your time. By coincidence I was onto EE to uograde my mobile and they have now done a package deal which basically means I am going to get a new TV box anyway - so hopefully problem solved. Many thanks
