BT Black WiFi discs, TV box is picking this when Smart Hub is much nearer

I have a BT black disc booster, which is on a different floor to my TV box. The TV box is on the same floor as the smart hub, and much nearer.

I've checked on the EE app, and the TV box is actually saying it's connected to the BT disc. I know there is all sorts of parameters, but surely it should be the smart hub in my situation.

Is there a way to get it to connect to the smart hub by default, also how to check the speed on it?

Unless you wire the TV box directly to the Hub - no. It will pick the strongest signal which appears to be the disk. Remember wifi can travekl through floors more easily than walls sometimes depending on construction.

All my internal walls are the same, plaster that’s why I don’t understand why it’s choosing disc. It’s much closer to smart hub.

You can't force a choice but you can use a workaround. Turn off the mesh boxes, the tv box should then lock onto the bt router. When settled switch the mesh back on and see if it stays on the router.
