Hi, we've started watching Good Omens on Amazon Prime which is supposed to be available in UHD. It is not however displaying UHD. When I checked the 'Info' for our projector it showed 2160 not 3840. I did check the relevant settings on the BT Box that showed it was set up to receive UHD.
We have a 4K/UHD compatible AV Receiver and projector that has no problem with the pc at 4K/UHD so why not the BT Box?

Re: BT Box Pro UHD
Umm, I wonder....
So I don't have the BT Box Pro, but I can play Prime video in UHD. For Good Omens 2 that resolution is, wait for it:
3840 x 2160!
So is it possible that the BT Box Pro is showing you vertical resolution rather than the horizontal (4K) resolution?
I only learn by making mistakes and owning up to them - boy do I learn a lot!

Re: BT Box Pro UHD
Is it showing UHD as an available format on the Program Description on Prime? If not, you need to change your output settings on the Pro Box and also check your settings on the TV/projector. The Pro Box is fully UHD and supports Atmos, HLG and HDR10

Re: BT Box Pro UHD
Good Omens plays in UHD through the app on my BT Pro Box, so as has been said it looks like it's down to your set-up settings.

Re: BT Box Pro UHD
Thanks folk.
Andy005, does the programme show in "letterbox" style which mine does?
I do know that 2160 is the vertical resolution so will recheck the projector info. I will also double checks the box settings.
I 've also had another idea to view the programme via the PC attached to the AV Receiver.

Re: BT Box Pro UHD
2160 as a width doesn't map to any common display standard.

Re: BT Box Pro UHD
Hi Darren, a good point about the height being quoted.
The picture was poor so a check via the PC should prove one way or another what's gong on.

Yes it does @DelicaMan, as expected it's the same format across all of the apps/devices that I've tried.
I might be wrong here but if you're thinking of using a laptop to project from you may only get the resolution that your laptop is capable of.

Re: BT Box Pro UHD
Check the Program description on Prime, if it says it's UHD it will be UHD and Primes UHD streams are generally very good. However, if it's a popular release they sometimes struggle to keep up with demand which results in a lower quality stream. This typically happens with new Grand Tour episodes and also Clarksons Farm for the first day or two
