Our 4K UHD box has become increasingly unreliable over the last couple of months. We have done factory resets several times, updated the software, turned it on and off again, checked the connections, checked the remote batteries.
Symptoms include - loss of apps - sometimes some, sometimes all; guide slow to open and respond and in the last couple of days the TV screen goes black even though the box blue light is on - there is no response to the remote even to power off.. A hard reset gets the box back on the TV but this has happened three times today. The TV works direct from the aerial.
Any suggestions?
Two and a bit hours after the previous black screen, it happened again. This time, pressing the remote power switch took it the the YOUVIEW starting screen but after a few seconds has gone black again. Blue light is on, remote once again not working.
It sounds like it's on its way out. If you have an active BT TV subscription, report it as a fault and they'll replace the box for you.

The online help also decided it was faulty, so a new box was sent - arrived in 24 hours.
Unfortunately, it seems a bit more sensitive to our poor signal quality. Hopefully things will settle.
