BT TV Box Pro

Go to solution

My current setup for my standard BT TV YouView box uses an HDMI splitter to send the signal to a 2nd TV in my bedroom. I have a wired IR system to also control the box located in the lounge from the bedroom.

I am interested in upgrading to a BT TV Box Pro but notice the remote on this is Bluetooth. Is this going to cause me problems or is the Bluetooth signal likely to be strong enough to reach the other room for the remote control to work?

Thank you.

Bluetooth range is about 30 feet with a clear path and no interference

@AjayK46

Others on here or the Youview forum have said that the current remote works with the Pro box.

So is the Pro box both Bluetooth and conventional IR?

Pro Box works perfectly with the older infra-red remotes too (I used mine but liked the Bluetooth much more).

OP, the Pro Box will work on a HDMI splitter but it may need to be an very new splitter as the Pro Box can be a bit funny with older HDMI devices (splitters, amplifiers (ie AV receivers) and TVs).
