Hi
We have a BT box which we use to connect to anything on the telly, whether it's an app like Apple/ Netflix etc or 'terrestrial' channels eg BBC or ITV. (as opposed to watching directly from our telly). There was an Apple outage a few days ago (11th? 12th?) but after it was fixed we found we couldn't connect to Apple tv anymore via the BT box. But can directly from the telly, so we know it's not a tv issue. We think there's still a disconnect between the Apple app and the BT box. All other apps are working fine, just Apple is the problem so it's weird. The error message is 'Could not connect to Apple TV, check your internet connection and try again'. Tried switching everything off including wi fi router, pulling cables out & reconnecting etc. Nothing works.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance
Not a solution but you can also access apple tv through your BT box on prime.
Thanks, noted for future. We don't have Prime currently.
Anyone else got any ideas how to fix this annoying problem?
Assuming you are not using a VPN then the normal approach to a single non performing app is to reinstall the app. Unfortunately, theEE TV Box Pro doesn't allow you to manage the apps individually so you are faced with doing a factory reset (keeping recordings) on the box.
Ok thanks. Noted for next time. No need now because have just tried a reboot again & can now connect & log in to the app! After 5 days & several reboots...
