Green Button (watch from start)
Just curious - Anybody experienced the green (watch from the start) button attempt but not succeeding to launch the iPlayer on BBC channels? Not a great inconviennce as I was able to go via an alternative route (red button and restart programme).

Re: Green Button (watch from start)
Repeatedly, or just a one-off? I’ve seen it a couple of odd times on a Samsung 32” 5 Series, with no EETV kit involved.
And I’ve just tried it again on that TV, and it worked fine.

Re: Green Button (watch from start)
@zulu17 I had it happen once this week when I tried to restart the 6 o'clock news. I managed to watch from start by going into the iplayer app. Not had it happen before or since (so far)

Re: Green Button (watch from start)
- @zulu17 @BillyM @Midnight_Voice Just tried it on Bbc1 / 2 and News channel same result on all, it didn't load BBCI Player. It tried to but just went back to live BBC . ( Using BT PRO box ). Worked fine via the TV but not via the box..Maybe a problem with Pro Box.

Re: Green Button (watch from start)
Tried just now to restart BBC News without success. Press Green button the i-player screen shows but still shows live pictures. It used to restart but not now.

Re: Green Button (watch from start)
@edbostan @zulu17 @Bluemoon1 @BillyM
Sightings confirmed here.
The green button, on the Box Pro, currently doesn’t work.
The red button, though, brings up some further programme suggestions, with beneath them a Reststart programme option than when chosen, does go to the iPlayer as the green button would.
A further workaround is Pause/START AGAIN, the third option below the timeline.

Re: Green Button (watch from start)
Have so far not seen this happen on my 6 week old Samsung 43inch Q60D TV when watching via the TV but have seen it happen twice on my BT Youview non pro box.
@Midnight_Voice the BBC are thinking about phasing out their red button service at some point.
Already its been reported that the red button service dont work with new Freely TVs.

Re: Green Button (watch from start)
I must admit that I have just started having this problem on the BT TV Box Pro. I wonder if there has been a recent software update that has interfered with this function.
