Re: New features

Just come across one big issue, you can only record two channels at once. Where as before I could record six

Re: New features

It's a bit surprising the box won't work with a mix of Freeview and Over IP. I know it requires "a bit more work behind the scenes", but it should be possible to have the box check the Freeview signal and if none, go for IP delivery. In my case I will definitely lose channels and that obviously makes it less attractive. Of course, it's early days and more channels might come on board, so I guess time will tell.

Re: New features

I read into that then that the IP recording limit is contractual then rather than technical.

I'll get around it to some extent using my HD Homerun/Plex Server (and my TV which can record to an external drive although i've never used it) but of course that only works for over the air channels.   I might also look into picking up a dedicated OTA Freeview PVR box but that seems like overkill! Shame that there is always a compromise with things like this.

Re: New features

Don't want to jump the gun but during the red flag in the F3 I decided to check and there is now the update available and my box is currently rebooting/installing the update.  So it might be available for others.

EDIT Doing by factory reset now and got the option to chose internet mode.

Re: New features

My box updated after 3pm just as the BT staff member said.

I live in a freeview lite area and can confirm this is a great update and very welcomed.

@why_oh_why   If you restart the box, switch off and power down, you should find it revert back to the trial settings you were on

Re: New features

Have to say the radio implementation is a bit clunky.  Having to press red every time then select your BBC Sounds profile then you have to exit it before you can go back to TV is not that user friendly.
