New customer. Bt is up and running. I am supposed to go to my products - scroll down to email - set up email.
I am not seeing anything about either a basic or standard email in my products.
Solved! Go to Solution.
I believe that email was withdrawn for new customers some time ago.
View this as a good thing as there are much better alternatives.
What kind of ISP doesnt have an email account associated with it?
I have been forced to use something called gmail. I had hoped to have broadband and email all together.
Can't really say Im impressed with BT's changes but if thats what im stuck with, then so be it ( not a good thing to post for a new customer whos account is less than 48 hours old)

BT, Virgin, EE, Sky and Plusnet to name but a few.
Was there any thing in the adverts or BT's pages or in your BT Broadband contract state that you would be able to create a BT email account?
See Link and sub links. BT Basic is only available to BT Broadband customers who had a BT email account and have since left BT Broadband and wish to retain their email account.
yes, it said it came with a basic email
Never mind. I will get used to gmail. Maybe one day BT will revise their no email policy. All else seems fine though. It is also me to be fair. I find change to something new difficult (never used gmail before so maybe its a case of getting used to it).
Thank you for the help anyway 🙂
Gmail is excellent and much better than BT email, personally I would say that you've had a very lucky break
Exactly, I have no idea why anyone would want to lock themselves to an ISP email when they can have a completely transportable address.
