In the last couple of weeks, I cannot send a Group email (13 addresses) with any Word attachments. I get the 'Content' error message, but the contents/attachments are innocuous, short, standard format I have sent before. I can send same to two or three addresses. Problem with spam/phishing settings, local or generic?
Gan anyone help

Hi @terrycorbett,
Welcome to the BT Community
Are you using webmail when trying to send the e-mails or an e-mail app? If it is an app have you tried sending via webmail? Can you send group messages ok without any attachment?

Hi @terrycorbett As all Office documents can contain viruses, have you tried exporting it to a .pdf document in Word.
I am accessing my Bt email via the Bt website on a desktop - I assume that's webmail? I can send a group email without an attachment.
Thanks for your reply. I will try the .pdf route, but it seems strange that multiple Word documents created by me, ie not created externally, may have viruses. So inherent in Office software?

All Office documents do not contain viruses, Office documents can contain viruses but any decent Antivirus program should pick them up.
BTMail does not stop/prohibit Word documents being sent and received as an attachment. I have just send a large Word document as a test and it came through without issue.
There have been a few posts the BTMail throwing up various messages and error codes. I suspect that the email team have been making some changes to the spam filters and this is causing problems with some but not all email accounts and the OP's problem may be something to do with that.
The PDF route may help but it may be that it will also get caught up in what ever has caused the problem when sending Word documents.
As regards the number of recipients of a group email, if I recall correctly this was changed a while back upping the number from under 50 to 100 recipients so the OP is well within the number that should attract the spam filters if that is what is causing the issue.
This seems to have righted itself, so I assume the introduced glitches have been rectified.
thanks for your help
