I am suddenly unable to send or receive emails
are you using BT mail app and if so have you tried using web mail?
you need to provide more information and also what have you tried to solve problem
Are you presently a BT Broadband customer or are you paying for your email through a BT Premium email account?
If neither of the above your email account may have been downgraded to a BTMail Basic account which can not be used with an email client and can only be used with webmail (using a web browser).

I don’t know how, but I’m now receiving emails but still cannot send or reply to any. I’ve gone through the settings and all okay. I’ve logged out and in. I’m wondering if it has anything to do with an iCloud update recently?

Have you logged into both the BT Mail app and webmail as recommended and are both effected?
Are you getting a specific error message or code when trying to send an e-mail?

@Truffle1 Have you checked the e-mail settings for your app are still correct with the information on this page? BT Email server settings | BT Help
There is also a link to login to WebMail, are you able to send e-mails when logged in there ok?

Yes, I can send vis webmail!
