Hi,
My daughter is now an adult and wants to own an email account, which is currently associated with my account.
She's not a BT customer and doesn't have a BT ID. Does she need to create a BT ID before I attempt to transfer the address to her? If so, any advice on how to do this, and would she have to pay for this?
Any help you can give would be much appreciated
Polly

Yes she will need to create a BTID.
See link
What is a BT ID and how can I get one? | BT Help
See link and sub links with in it how to gift an email address.
Thanks very much for the swift reply and useful links.
It looks like she'll be prompted to set up a BT ID as part of the process.
Wish us luck!
Thanks again
Polly
Hi Sage
I had a look at the link, and it looks like you can't create a BT ID unless you have a BT account. Is there any way around that do you think?
All the best
Polly
You gift the email address to her and she uses the link that you send to her to activate it and this allows her to set up a BTID.
Follow the link and sub-links about how to gift an email address and "How to activate an email address that has been given to you".
