Thanks for raising this. I have received the same error message and can't find a solution either. Come on BT, do the right thing and give us the knowledge!
Trying to log in to email account this am without success. Message appears "too many requests".
Any thoughts how to overcome issue?

Same, BT Chat suggests issue with Webmail and to use an alterative email app
Pretty useless to use the app when the document you need to attach is on your laptop. I've had to do workarounds with gmail. BT email worked for me just now, but this is really shoddy.
I had the exact same problem and have also had error codes and too many requests message over and over.
I persisted and opened another browser window which seems to have worked, I can access my emails now.
This may be the solution or bt may have coincidently fixed the problem.
Agree about the spacing - when replying to emails I spend time trying to tidy up BT's miss-spacing
