No access to the BT Website

Hello all,

I'm having a big problem getting to my email, in fact I can't even get the BT website to open up in the browser. Every time I try to open it I'm ending up with a blank white screen with a narrow black bar across the top that has 'Not a Customer Yet ?' written in it. If I click on that text it changes to ' Already a Customer ' but that's it, nothing else happens and the page just stays the same and I can't access BT.

If anyone has any ideas I'd be glad to hear them.

Thanks... Jon T.

Re: No access to the BT Website

I had this problem recently. A hard refresh solved it for me.

Hold down Ctrl and press F5.

Re: No access to the BT Website

Similar problem for me for a couple of months. emails working OK but cannot access the "MyBT".

Tried to answer this thread and found I needed to register. Said I had forgotten my password and thye sent me  message to my email which reminded me what my user name was which I had totaly forgotten. and then allowed me to pick a password so now can put this message here.

Seems reminiscent of the chaos we had when BT paired up with Yahoo to do the email and then took over five years to detach themselves and the users from that mess.

Now maybe I can somehow manage to link my BT account with my email accounts - and my wifes.

Re: No access to the BT Website

NOPE. I can access this forum but still not my BT account. Just get blank page with "access denied" or "Sorry we cannot access your details. If they were not still taking my money I'd think they had closed down the business.

Maybe if I tried to switch provider they might wake up and fix things.

I notice I am classed as an aspiring contributor. I have been with BT since the last century.

Well I tried everything I could think of and nothing at all solved the problem, but now all of a sudden everything is working fine again ?

Very strange.

You may well have been with BT since then but you have only been a forum member since 30/11/17 and you have only posted 21 posts during that time and the forum attributes the "status" of the forum user based upon the number of posts, number of kudos and solutions provided amongst other things.

Re: No access to the BT Website

Well I generated a new BTid and then tried to log on using Safari whereas I normally use Opera. I let it enable all cookies which I do not normally. I could log into my new BTid - hurrahh. Managed to download my bills for 16 May and 16 June. I had received two emails telling me they were ready but was not able to log on to get them.

Then I tried to log in using Opera and had the usual problems - "access denied" or sorry we cannot find your account data at the moments please try later. same as I have been getting for a few months. So I thought maybe I need to log out from the Safari window and then the Opera windows. no problem logging out on Safari. When I looked at the Opera account it seemed lkike I was logged in even though it would not let me see anything about my account. Clicking on the "log out" button just gave me the blank page with just two words top left saying "access denied"

So I cleared my browsing history for the last month - no change. Cleared my browsing history for all time and now I can log in using Opera. Shame about all the bother I will be having logging onto my usual sites and having to re-enter data which I might have trouble remembering.

Now that just leaves me with wondering how exactly I link my three BT email addresses to my new BTid and the two which my wife uses.

And I gather I have to log onto every email address separately but where can I see a list of just what email addresses I have created and maybe gifted to my wife? If, as I understand I am only allowed to make 11 email addresses how do I know or find out how many I have created? I might have made some and have totally forgotten about their existance.
