I sent Lennie_T an email with an attachment from the National Grid which has turned out not to be a spam email as I have received another email with their instructions instead of an attachment.  I have telephoned them and the email is genuine.

When I tried to reply to the email, the system would not let me and I get a message to try again later as there is a problem.  I wonder if the email is barred. The email address is jrainey@nationalgrid.com

 

I contacted Lennie_T regarding this and wonder if she or anyone else can sort out this for me as there will be other emails to the nationalgrid.com regarding the Heat Pump I am having installed under the Government Home Upgrade Scheme.

Does the email you have received ask for a reply or is this a no reply email? 

Could you try the steps on the Using BT Mail's anti-spam features page, does this help?

Yes the email was a no reply.  Here it is.

 

noreplies@nationalgrid.co.uk

 

It is really strange but I have since had an email from the nationalgrid.co.uk regarding the Heat Pump so I opened the email that I reported to you and found that it was not addressed to me, but my address was correct.  I phoned nationalgrid yesterday and and told them that their letter was addressed to someone else although the address was correct.  They said they would look into it, so I am none the wiser.     Very strange.

I will look at the information on scammed emails.

Hopefully they can get to the bottom of the details on the email. If the email is a no reply email address this may be the reason this will not send.

What number do I use to get in touch with your team regarding scam emails?  Of course I would only call if it was causing me concern or stress, as you folks don't want us ringing you unnecessarily.
