images on emails

Go to solution

for some reason I no longer get images on my emails just a tiny box.  I have got the allow images box ticked so unsure why this has happened.

Is that when using an email client or a browser? If browser then it could be the security settings are too high and are preventing the image from being downloaded

Understood but how are you accessing BT email, are you using an mail client (e.g. Outlook) or an internet browser (e.g. Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome)

Check your Privacy, Search and Services setting in your browser, I suspect you have it set to Strict, balanced should be adequate for most people.

I strongly suspect that the tiny box you refer to is what is known as a place holder, it's where a picture would be displayed where the security setting on your browser allowed images to be downloaded.

thank you, you were spot on somehow it had changed from balanced to strict.  Must have clicked on it by accident.
