Thanks @David_W102.
Whilst there's a fair chance it could be something at our end, I've still flagged this with our team so we can double check everything at our end too.
If I require any further details or get any updates I'll be sure to let you know, too!

Thanks for that - Toob have closed the tickets I had open re this issue. But emails are still processing very slowly. Would appreciate any further checks BT server-wise ??
Hi - I'm not currently with BT Fibre but am with a co called Toob. I do have a premium email account with BT though.
For a while I was with TalkTalk (FTTC) which worked fine with my BT email service. So recently I moved to Toob for their Full Fibre service which works great but I have noticed that emails sent (SMTP) are taking a while to process and send. Receiving emails is fine. I haven't changed any of the settings on my email client (Thunderbird, but have also tried Outlook).
Tests using a web based client are fine with emails sending immediatly. I have also removed the Toob router and fibre connection and used a mobile phone hotspot which again was fine with emails being sent immediatly.
Wonder whether anybdy has come across this weirdness...
Obviously a problem with Toob's IP address pool.
Thanks, I did try doing some checks , openssl s_client, which appeared to indicate everything was OK.
You received the same reply on this thread.
Talk to TOOB, nothing to do with BT.
Of course they do.
