All 3 of my computers are running Outlook 2007 which uses POP3.

If that is intended to mean that Outlook 2007 only uses POP3, that is incorrect. It can be configured for POP3 or IMAP.

I didn't imply that Outlook 2007 could not use IMAP. Its just that I've only used it with POP3.

It was just the phrase you used (Outlook 2007 which uses POP3) implied that, rather than that's how you had configured Outlook 2007

@gg3040

Good point.  Having just looked, it's IMAP.

@Leanne_T

I am using  Bitdefender with Windows 10. My husband uses the same Bitdefender with Windows 11. Both of us use Classic Outlook and POP3. The email problem has not affected him at all.

However, my emails since 10.15 have so far been arriving in their correct form.

When there is an email problem and I know that I haven't changed anything, my instinct is to leave well alone and wait patiently until someone external sorts it out. It invariably gets resolved eventually.

Thank you for your updates and the link to the Bitdefender thread.
