I have recently been converted to BT Digital Voice which I understand uses its own Voicemail functionality. However, my BT Advanced Phone Answer Machine is now not working. What do I have to do to fix this so that I can use the answer machine?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Set the number of rings on 1571 to maximum and your answering machine to fewer, as described in the FAQ.
Thanks for this. The options for number of rings on 1571 are not numerical but on the BT Advanced Phone/Answer Machine, they are numerical, so how many rings do each of the 1571 options correspond to?
If you go into MyBT and take a look under your products they are numerical. I seem to recall that the default is 7 and the max is 10 rings. My own answer phone is currently set on 5 and works just fine.
if you go to MY BT then manage and digital voice you will see number choices available
Max and 7 works just fine.
Hi @clivecheshire These are the choices you get in MyBT for the number of rings and time it takes before 1571 voice mail kicks in.
Thanks
Neil
Hi,
Mine is the same ! I have set 1571 to longest rings and my phone to shortest but still won't record a message.
Do i need to update my phones to later model ? I currently have BT3880 Trio.
Many thanks
Peter
