Hi,
I got an email from BT saying they are moving me over to digital voice in December.
I am currently with BT for my broadband with Smart Hub 2 but with conventional broadband not full fibre/FTTP.
Does this mean that as part of the switch over to digital voice I will get FTTP, ie a new cable from the street to my house and new wall mounted box in my living room?
The email just mentioned an engineer visit but no details of what will be done.
Thanks in advance for any advice/info.
No, digital voice works over FTTC just as well.
Copper is staying for areas that do not have FTTP.
Also do consider if you do want that upgrade to fibre to the premises - some people prefer not for various reasons and I presume you have a right to refuse. You have to take the digital voice but not FTTP.
