Caller display

Does anyone know why I'm only seeing my last 5 callers on the caller display section of my bt. Previously I used to be able to see the last 20 callers.

Re: Caller display

Ah, OK @mar53

As far as I'm aware, it should be 20. Does it specifically say 'last 5 received calls', or is it just showing you 5 received calls? It could be that the previous calls were too long ago to show on the recently received calls list.

Re: Caller display

It says the last 5 calls you received  then it says your most recently received calls since call protect was switched on, i am now wondering if it is resetting each month after billing because its not been switched off since I transferred to a new contract in July.

Re: Caller display

OK, thanks @mar53

Everything I've read looking into this refers to 'the last 20 calls'. I can't find anything that says it will only show 5 calls.

Could you keep an eye on it between now and you bill date, to see if this changes at all and whether it resets after?

Re: Caller display

Yes i will, however google says that this often happens when you change your contract it advises to deactivate wait a couple of minutes, switch off apparatus switch on again and then reactivate, suppose it won't do any harm to try

Re: Caller display

If you are using it to block callers you are wasting your time. The numbers will be spoofed and the scammers will use a different number every time.

Blacklisting will never work as the scammers have a virtually infinite amount of numbers to use.

Whitelisting with a call blocking phone is the only way to stop scam calls.
