DV - Area with poor mobile
Hi reading more into the DV malarkey it looks like I should be worried about my mobile signal.
Due to some odd geography our mobile signal is very variable and we are often on wifi calling. It's on three if that helps.
I've read somewhere that if your mobile signal system is not good then if you let BT know they'll provide some other kit.
What is this other kit and how does one get it.

Re: DV - Area with poor mobile
DV has absolutely nothing to do with mobile signal. The only reason that people are worried about lack of mobile signal is in the event of a power cut they will have neither landline or mobile signal.

Re: DV - Area with poor mobile
https://www.bt.com/broadband/digital-voice
states:
Keeping connected during a power cut
If there’s a power cut or your broadband fails, you’ll be unable to make any calls using Digital Voice, including 999 calls. You’ll still be able to use a mobile phone, just make sure you keep it charged at all times. If you don’t have a mobile phone or are in an area with no mobile signal, please contact us on 0800 800 150.
Customers who need extra support may be offered a battery backup unit to make sure you can still make calls. The unit will keep you connected for a short time if there is a power cut. We advise that you limit your usage to essential calls only to preserve battery life during any outage. If you believe you will need a battery backup unit, please contact us.

A UPS, but it is only available to vulnerable customers, not generally.

Re: DV - Area with poor mobile
have you checked to see if other mobile providers give a better mobile connection than 3 in your area?

@ohforgawdsake2 For emergency calls, any mobile network can be used.
