I've been without landline since 6th May after BT ceased my copper service without warning. Having had full fibre installed on 28th April for some reason the digital voice element of my order was not actioned at that time and I had been running in parallel waiting DV activation which was supposed to happen yesterday which it obviously didn't.
Spoke to BT helpline AGAIN this morning to ask why it was such a problem and why i have been without service for 6 days now. After a long wait, the person I spoke to said "I've escalated your problem to the "right people" and they will act on it as soon as possible but it could be as long as 5 days". So I'm guessing that none of the people I've spoken to previously at BT knew who the "right people" were otherwise it would all have been rectified by now.
Seems I may be without landline for 11 days in total - that's if DV is activated in 5 days. As my broadband is working I don't qualify for the automatic £8.40 per day (per ombudsman website) recompense but I have been offered £25 credit.
Anyone else having these protracted problems with DV and BT?
