I need to order an adaptor to plug the phone into.
I enter our phone number on the bt.com/dvequipment page and I saw the voucher code.
But something happened and I had to start over again. Now when I put our phone number in, all I get is "This code is currently being used" and the overlay message on that page won't let me go any further, plus I didn't get chance to make a note of the voucher code.
What do I do now?
PS I also tried texting ADAPTOR to 61998 nothing has come back on that either.
I believe that only applies to those customers who are part of the bulk migration process.
Have you been forced to migrate to DV by BT?
Last week I got an email about it, plus a letter arrived today.
This also mentioned about needing an adaptor. Incidentally, I tried again via computer (rather than phone) and the vouched code DID appear again so I was able to order.
You mentioned forced, so is this Digital Voice optional?
If yes, what happens if I refuse it?
You don't NEED an adapter, phones and cordless base stations can simply be plugged into the socket at the rear of the hub. The adapter is simply a portable phone socket.
You can still request one from customer services if you actually require one.
Digital Voice is not optional.
there is a lot of helpful information on DV here https://community.bt.com/t5/Home-phone-including-Digital/Digital-Voice-FAQs/td-p/2207485
Thanks for all the info.
The phone and router are in different rooms hence the need for the adaptor.
Have you actually read the thread? You don't need one, but you can order and pay for one if you really want one.
