Digital Voice Phone with Alexa - Check battery

Hello. My Digital Voice phone with Alexa seems to have stopped working - it always says check battery.

Alexa phones have battery built in so cannot remove.

What do I do now?  Do I throw it away, return to BT, get a new base unit?
