Digital Voice and Fibre to Property

I have received information about Digital Voice. I use BT Broadband and have a landline, which are both using Fibre to the house.  My question is, is the switch over to Digital Voice necessary when Fibre is already available at our property.

I am sorry but I don't understand the terms you are using - ONT and FVA?

Re: Digital Voice and Fibre to Property

ONT is the fibre modem.  FVA is Fibre Voice Access, a now defunct system that Openreach used for early voice over the fibre.

Re: Digital Voice and Fibre to Property

Thank for the replies and explanations.

I was interested to find out if my landline would continue to work at switchover or not, if I did nothing.  The BT engineer I spoke to did not know.
