I have today received a letter saying I will be switched to Digital Voice within 30 days, when I contacted BT no one seemed to know about it or just said it is a promotion. Usual poor communication form BT checking the internet the switch currently going ahead is in East Midlands, Humberside and Yorkshire, not in Kent where I live. What a waste of paper . So I have wasted 30 minutes on a call to people who did not have the correct information, this does not show BT in a very good light.
I realise that but when a letter arrives saying I will be switched within 30 days, action needs to be taking, if its information or a promotion don't say service will be switched within 30 days
What broadband package are you on? It does sound like the letter that is sent out to those just before they are migrated to Digital Voice.
Those that are on full fibre for example were included in the previous migration batches that started back in May 2023. So if you are on Full Fibre you'll probably be included based on that.
I don’t think it is a promotion.
I received exactly the same letter on the same day. I’m Leicester based and I’m on FTTC. This letter was a repeat of an email I was sent on the 2nd that was exactly the same as the letter. (Fail to see the point in sending both but that’s for another thread). This letter, in turn, was a follow up to the initial notification email I was sent on the 19th June.
Personally, I just wish they’d send me the SH2. In other respects, my systems are already set up and ready to go. Just be nice if they got on with it.
(Don't know what happended to my first post. Tells me it loaded but I can't see it and it won't let me load it again due to "Post Flooding". My apologies if this appears twice).
