I have two BT essential digital home phones and after switching to digital voice in November, after they had been replaced on the charging cradle and had stopped being charged, they showed a small green indicator light. I assumed this indicated that they were connected and ready to use.
A couple of days ago, this indicator light did not illuminate on either phone and the fault occurred at the same time on both phones.
There is no mention of this light in the user guide.
I phoned technical support and they did not know what the light was for, and the person I spoke to said he had one of these phones and had never seen the light. I was advised to ignore it's absence, and as long as the phones worked, all was well.
What is the light for ? Why has it stopped working ? Can I restore it ? Or do I just forget it all ?
Not sure that I like digital voice - my old landlines were much better !

The only time I have seen a greenlight on mine was the call button illuminated green which was a voicemail
Thanks. No there were no voice mails waiting. Not that.
