Happy New Year @LXXV 

I did mention that you appeared to be having the exact same problem and ask if they'd contact you too.

Mum's has been going on since 9th Dec. Has you been having issues for longer? The idea of this going on much longer makes me feel quite unwell!

The team in Northern Ireland do seem to been committed to helping us all, so fingers crossed, we won't be waiting much longer.

Hi Sallypoo, this is obviously a known problem as there was very little resistance to cancel my contract. I chose BT because I wanted the best. I am 75 years old and really want my family to be able to contact me by landline . I have to say everyone at BT have tried  to help me but to no avail. I really don’t want the hassle of changing my provider but think the outcome will be inevitable.

Hi Steve,

Thought you'd want to know that Mum's phone line has been fixed. @NeilO and the team have sorted it out. so stick with it... Her line is now crystal clear and receiving all calls.

im glad your mothers issue was resolved! Unfortunately my elderly parents are having the same problem with their landline. 

can make calls but cannot receive them. 

how were you able to recitfy your mothers similiar issue?

Actually we're still having problems, but only with call blocking now...

The issues was dealt with by several of the specialist Admins on here. @NeilO and @DavidM all other routes via BT were a waste of time. The Mods on here are fantastic!

the technical team on the phone seem to struggle to understand the issue and how to resolve it.

Have your parents just been moved to digital voice or have they just joined BT from another ISP and ported their number?

They were previously with another provider and joined BT and joined digital voice at the same time
