I'm having a problem using my handset if I'm not in the same room as the router.  I use my mobile to make calls but I had a call from the GP today, which I took upstairs for privacy, the phone was dipping in and out so much I really struggled to hear. I phoned BT and was told I have to use the phone near the router surely this isn't the case.

YourDV handet connects to the Hub2 base using Dect and distance from the base is a problem which is no different to other cordless phones. Either moving closer to hub or if possible moving hub to a more central location in your home
