Emergency backup phone un-needed extra phones: how best for vulnerable customer to return to BT?

Go to solution

Ahead of switchover, an elderly relative has received 3 Emergency backup phones from BT. She intends to give them all to Openreach engineer when he visits on 3rd Aug, but will the Openreach engineer be able to receive & deal with them? If not, what should she do with them?

you may find that when BT realise they have sent 3 to same person that they request the return of the excess with charge if not returned as phone only on loan to you just like rest of BT equipment

If you call BT 0330.1234.150 you can request that they send a returns bag out to you.

Make sure you keep a copy of your Proof of Posting and if possible take a photograph of it in case you somehow lose the paper copy.
