A factory reset will not stop Internet access, it just restores it to a known state, and can even be initiated by the helpdesk.

If you continue to use your existing phones and not the new DV phones (which are no longer supplied free) then a factory reset will have no affect on your list of. Contacts stored in your existing analogue phone.
Another problem solved
Hello
We had to email BT and they said the issue was something at their end
About two days later they resolved the problem
They did whatever they did remotely, no engineer came to our house
So I would email them and hopefully they can sort it
I'm afraid I don't know what was causing it....
Hi
Do you remember was email address you used for BT customer service?
Many thanks
Sorry I can't find it
But if you Text HELP to 61998 they will get back to you to discuss your issue
Good luck!
