Thanks again Hood..
Copper wire is underground.
The problem started as soon Digital Voice was installed.
Prior to this calls from Australia over a 20 year period were no problem.
The problem has been reported on various websites for over three years, and still no resolution from various companies.
Yesterday, I had a call from my sister in law and she has had the problem with UK calls cutting out since she had BT digi voice installed.
Thanks for taking the time to answer my query.
Regards,
Len.
Let's get one thing straight, if it is just incoming calls from Australia that have the problem, it has absolutely nothing to do with your physical connection.
The problem lies with either Telstra or BTs routing equipment. Extremely likely to be Telstra.
Thank you for that.
Both Telstra and BT have conducted tests No fault found.
After restarting the router calls which were cutting out at 15 mins then started cutting out at 30 mins.
so - I have yet to see the answer to this:
1 - using video conferencing program over your broadband - such as Teams or Zoom - does that cut out - if not - then it is definitely not the broadband /or line connection to your house that utilises broadband - and is clearly to do with the VOIP software/hardware on which your 'landline' is running having some sort of timer - then I would suggest you have a breach of contract potentially as the service is not fit for purpose (consumer rights act) - just saying
Having done a simple search using google I found this which may be relevant - it's from an Aussie facebook group venting their ire about Telstra

@5progface it appears you keep going back to the statement - calls cut at 15 minutes without actually analysing the call parameters to eliminate any elements that may be the causality of the fault. Sorry if this seems a bit harsh - but I can only go on what is exchanged here.
Facts I have gleaned
What facts are missing
I truly wish you all the luck in sorting this.
BUT I RECOMMEND you use TEAMS, ZOOM or WHATSAPP for your calls if they are broadband connected - you also have the joy of face to face then too - and who knows - you may decide to lose your landline and save a few bob.
3 It is my contact who has unlimited calls with Telstra.
Yesterday I received a voicemail informing me that BT had tried to contact me and advising me that they would call on Wednesday.
Stayed in all day/evening Wednesday Alas No call. Maybe tomorrow.
In an earlier post I did attach an Event Log.
Thanks for the info. Will check if my contact is on T Z or W
