I have gfast from BT fibre to the cabinet.
In my offers on the BT app it invited me to get digital voice.
Many sales people within BT say you can do this others say available with lesser bandwidth broadband than gfast.
Does anyone know how I can get digital voice in this circumstance?
Solved! Go to Solution.
I have been invited, via my offers to apply for digital voice.
I am on gfast in a fibre to the cabinet area.
Different sales people within BT say yes I can do it or others I need to downgrade my fibre service to be able to get gfast.
Who is correct and how do I get what BT invited me to get?
Digital Voice is not dependent on how your broadband is delivered.
Bt tell me when ordering gfast that digital voice is not available with gfast.
Another BT person tells me I'm in a digital voice area.
Why is BT not letting me order digital voice?
Digital voice is available with G.Fast if Digital Voice is available from the exchange you are connected to. It may be that you are in a digital voice area only if connected to FTTP because the FTTP is fed from a different exchange to the G.Fast
Is FTTP available to you?
Live and served by WINPON Pontesbury exchange. Gfast is the fastest available here. I just need someone in BT who knows how to do this to get me swapped to digital voice. Told by sales in Canterbury this morning that we were in a digital voice area but seemed sure no way with the gfast line. I find this bizarre and frustrating
Not entirely sure why you are so desperate to get DV, most customers seem to be the opposite!!
I will ask if one of the mods can assist.
Thank you for asking moderators and for your excellent advice so far.
Want digital voice for a few reasons..
High definition sound.

And mostly because BT invited me to get it in my offers.
Fair enough, good to see somebody keen to get it. 😀
