We have an elderly father who we would like to provide with a phone in order to continue making outgoing calls to trusted family and friends. Unfortunately dementia is leading to him making addtional inappropriate calls to other numbers.
So we'd like a phone or service that provides general call barring whilst allowing calls to certain trusted numbers to be made. So far I haven't found any, but feel sure that this must be possible.
Does anyone have any knowledge of this please? Thank you!
BT do provide Network Controlled call barring, which only allow certain number to be called.
See this thread https://community.bt.com/t5/Home-phone-including-Digital/Limiting-calls-in-duration-and-or-time-of-d...
There is a barring service available but I can't think what's it's called at the moment, or how it would work for you. Hopefully someone else will chip in. Edit: they already have!
But take a look at products from Swissvoice & Geemarc Amplidect, as they have phones with picture dialling of contacts & no keypad.
