Old Panasonic handset doesn't fit in green slot on back of new Hub 2 ?

Do I need to buy a new handset to use with the Digital Voice service on Hub 2. The grey connecting wire rom current handset doesn't fit into green port on Hub 2 ?

The green socket at the rear of the BT hub is a standard phone socket, exactly the same as as every normal analogue phone socket..

If your phone plug doesn't fit, it wouldn't have fitted in the old socket either.

How did/does your Panasonic phone connect to your old/existing analogue phone service?
If it was plugged into the BT master socket then it will have a plug that fits the green socket on the SH2.

It is the base station that connects to the smart hub 2, not the handset.

That does not make sense. If, like me, you have a DECT phone that has a base station often with Answering phone facilities upon which sits a handset then originally that base station was plugged into your Master socket or an extension and it has the standard BT431 plug and this plug will also fit the green socket in the back of the SH2. Any additional 'satellite' phones your have linked with the base station will work in exactly the same way; they communicate with the base station but need to be kept charged by their own powered bases.

Any other non DECT phone i.e a simple phone will also have the standard BT431 plug and can be plugged into the SH2's socket.
