Our BT phone keeps disconnecting. It rings when someone calls, you try to answer it and it just goes off.
People have also said they've been calling but no one answers - but the phone has not rung on those occasions.
BT tell you they're switching off the old phone system, forcing you to get a new phone but then it doesn't work.
What use is a phone when it doesn't work?
It has latest firmware/software, router has been factory reset, it doesn't matter where it is in the house, it just keeps happening.
How do we fix it? Just need it to work. Not interested in technical details... it's a phone, we're paying for it, and it should just work.
Is it one of the BT supplied digital handsets that are doing this?
is it a new digital voice phone paired to the SH2? if so you may find like others have that the batteries are not holding their charge even though show fully charged. try replacing the batteries but as a test initially just use standard AA batteries and if that works then get new rechargeable batteries for say amazon. remember don't try and recharge standard AA batteries
There are many reports of duff batteries. If you have replacements try those or if not, standard alkalines will do for testing. Just don't put the phone one it's charging base with alkalines fitted.
Yes.
It could be that the batteries are no good, as it seems a common issue with this phone.
You can prove this by temporarily swapping the batteries to ordinary alkaline ones, but do not put it on the charger base.
If the phone works with alkaline batteries, then it proves the rechargeable ones are no good, and need replacing.
page 18 shows how to change batteries
The phone model is X65-F82
